I got smoked..
..trying to paddle back out through backdoor after flicking out of a wave.
I managed to punch through 3 set waves and pretty much get out the back. All the water photographers were laughing at how close I was to getting smashed when a 4th beauty landed square on my head pushing me straight to the bottom. My board has seen better days.
The leash plug was ripped straight out

Yaeh pretty bad, exactly the same thing happened to me last week at 3rd Reef Juc, just a bit more damage. Hang in Mushy, You can’t be accused of not having the full dip.

That is exactly why you should be riding an 8′0. When will you young CTer’s learn!
Also you should have pulled back more often like me.
